  1. The power outlet is a nice touch. You know, I prefer the original with Jack Nicholson.

  2. shit I had NO idea there was an original! AND with Jack Nicholson; this sounds like a masterpiece! I'm guessing no Rick Moranis? :o

  3. Somehow this enters into the realms of Vincent Van Goghs Sunflower paintings...Although...THIS IS BETTER!!!!A True masterpiece James...Admittedly, I thought we were talking Triffids to begin with...but I never said I didn't lead a sheltered life. Now I see its something called A little shop of horrors...I don't mind admitting to ignorance...It helps the learning process...Now that's twice I haven't got it when Mr.Ted has!!!lol!

    1. Ohhh, the old british 'The Day Of The Triffids' movie is great! No singing in it, either. haha.
But the book is even better. I recommend!

    2. haha, Thanks Rod! Triffids was fantastic! Maybe I should sketch some of those as well. Proper scared me as a child. Need to watch it again.
Little Shop of Horrors was actually pretty cack to be honest (the 80's version) from what I remember..... Although just looked at the trailer again and it looks like it's right up my street actually... Trash AND camp. Excellent combo! It's no 'Pink Flamingos' but it looks like fun!

    3. I had to go sit out in the theater lobby when I first saw The Triffid movie as a little kid with my big brother. Couldn't deal with walking plants, no way!

Shot in only two days in 1960, so keep that in mind.

    1. I'm not gonna lie. I'm actually a bit pissed off I didn't even know this film existed. But I'm using the fact that i'm only 28 years old as an excuse (lol).... This actually looks incredible! Pretty blown away at the thought that it was only filmed in two days as well! MENTAL! I appreciate it even more as I just sat through 87 minutes of Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie'.... What a waste of time :/ haha

    2. I think Corman's Little Shop was a kind of sequel to his Bucket Of Blood movie. I love that movie and own it on DVD. It's got hipster beatniks in it. About a loser who poses as an artist for respect and attention. haha.

    3. You know it's THAT good when you gotta post the trailer twice. Man this movie looks like it's for me! Totally love these late 50's/early 60's trailers. I can't seem to find a half decent version of this film on dvd in the uk :'( bollocks!

I've always loved this trailer (and the film); http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY39yi3idzc

  5. You know it's a good movie when you have to repeat the title twenty frickin' times: color me BLOOD RED! haha.

I dont know this movie but is it a later William Castle production? Sounds like his schlocky narration. William Castle is the best: House on Haunted Hill, 13 Ghosts, The Tingler. Classic stuff.
Here's one for ya. Early 60s hip!:
